QuentinFinch was born out of my love of books and reading and my love of the internet. One day, I realized that when I’m not working online, I’m talking online to people about books or reading online articles and book reviews. Most of this I was doing through Twitter, but that can be like drinking from a grand, rushing river. The small part that I would find by dipping my cup in was great, but I know there's so much more that I'm missing.
QuentinFinch is my way to capture the best of the internet for readers. I don’t want to change the way you read; I want to help you find even more to read… and more people to talk to about books. QuentinFinch is about bringing you curated content – the very best conversations happening online about books. It’ll be like a fun graduate seminar, except I won’t grade you.
QuentinFinch: Bookswoonery of the Highest Order. That’s us.
Nota Bene: I owe a generous hat tip to the wonderful women of Kirtsy. Without them, I would not have had the inspiration to create my own little library corner of the internet or the courage to believe I could do it. Visit them often. If Kirtsy is like Digg for chicks, then QuentinFinch is like Kirtsy and Digg for the bookish.
Ashley O’Neill is the founder of QuentinFinch and Editor-in-Chief for The Savvy Source, a website devoted to parenting and early childhood education. Before joining with Savvy, Ashley was a Lecturer in English at Southern Methodist University, where she spent her days teaching eighteen-year-olds the finer points of reading and writing about literature. She is ABD on a Ph.D. in 20th Century American Fiction and Feminist Theory, and wishes she could write like Faulkner. In addition to spending lots of time reading, writing, and being a mother of two, Ashley is a devotee of 80s music, quality television, blockbuster movies, science-fiction everything, and watching the news. She considers herself a fan of our culture; her husband thinks she's crazy. You can find Ashley all over the internet.
